The Ferdowsi School - Westchester celebrated its first Nowruz on March 19, 2010. The event was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as the students performed songs, dances and played musical instruments while dressed in traditional 'mahali' clothes. Parents were instrumental in organizing this impressive celebration which was followed by catered Persian food. The event also provided an opportunity for parents and teachers to meet the IAS Board members who were in attendance. Click here to see pictures of the celebration. |
